RFPFree

Terms of use

Plain terms for a neutral tool.

RFPFree helps nonprofit institutions run an investment advisor search. These terms describe what the service is, and what it is not.

The service

RFPFree provides software for drafting a request for proposal, inviting firms to respond privately, and comparing the responses you receive. Organizations never pay to use it. Use of the service is subject to these terms and to any usage limits we apply to keep it available for everyone.

No advice, no recommendation

RFPFree does not rank firms, score responses, or recommend a choice. The comparison layer extracts and organizes what each firm stated, with a citation back to their own words, and performs arithmetic (such as fee calculations) deterministically. Every decision is the committee’s own. Nothing here is legal, tax, or investment advice.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your account credentials secure and your committee roster accurate.
  • Provide accurate information and use the service lawfully.
  • Confirm any statutory procurement, notice, or open-records obligations with counsel — RFPFree is a private tool and does not claim compliance with them.

Availability and changes

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. We may update the service and these terms as the product develops; the current version always governs.

These are the operative terms of use for RFPFree. Questions about them can be sent from your dashboard’s contact form.
